Milan - Design in the City
How to Enjoy the World Design Capital
Descrizione
Milan - Design in the City is an English language guide dedicated to a target of design and architecture aficionados and experts.
It is distributed in 140 Milanese luxury hotels (4 and 5 star) included in the distribution circuit of the Where Milan publication and is available at specialized bookstores.
The aim of the Guide is to take visitors on a virtual trip to famous, interesting or hidden places specially selected for those who are passionate about art, design and architecture. It includes a map of Milan, developed by the design firm UrbanFile together with a “never-seen-before” diagram of the “ever evolving” city skyline.
It is divided into 5 macro-sections (centre, north, south, east and west) each outlining a “daily itinerary” plus several suggestions about shopping, dining and entertainment; themed itineraries to discover unique aspects of the city; a historic-artistic description of the most important monuments and points of interest in the area; a few oddities related to historic, architectural and cultural aspects and, last but not least, new projects under way that are changing the face of the city.
A “People in the City” section profiles several individuals of note, active in the sphere of design and architecture, while the final section “The Guide” includes a directory featuring a series of useful addresses for shopping, dining, entertainment, museums and contemporary art galleries.
Milan - Design in the City inaugurates the new “Where Quick Guide” series, the second editorial product of the line for travelers visiting Milan and Lombardy, after the Where Milan magazine.
Guides dedicated to The Lakes, Golf Courses, Outlets, Lombardy Nature Parks, Food & Wine will follow.
